Have a Question?

At Retro, we're all on the same journey toward Jesus. So there's no silly questions! The last thing we want is for you to have unanswered questions just because you feel too intimidated or judged to ask. We are not that kind of church.

  • We believe in Jesus as the Son of God and the center of all we are and do. Given to us, by God, in sacrifice, as redemption for our sins and as a direct access to God the Father. (John 14:6, 1 Timothy 2:5, John 3:16)

  • We believe that the Holy Bible is God’s Word, written by men divinely inspired. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and practice (II Tim 3: 16-17; II Pet 1:21).

  • We believe in God as the Father, and creator of all. “It is he who made the earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding stretched out the heavens.” Jeremiah 51:15

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit as an equal-value part of the holy trinity. Given to us as a gift and a helper. (John 14:26, Isaiah 11:2)

  • We believe in the three equal parts of the trinity. Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Gen 1:26; Deut. 6:4, Matt 3: 16-17; 28:19)

  • We believe the church is the living spiritual body of which Christ is the head. God has given the church the task of proclaiming to a lost world the Gospel (good news) of Jesus. We believe this good news is indeed good news to all. (Acts 2:41; 15:13-17; I Cor 12: 12-13).

  • We believe that just as Jesus was baptized as a consenting adult, so should all who make an decision to be baptized. Each believer is responsible, at a consenting age, to make their own decision for fully-immersed water baptism. It is an act of obedience that represents the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior - and symbolizing the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Jesus.

  • Salvation

We believe that God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16) We believe that salvation, or eternal life, can only be found through Jesus Christ, as the singular way to God, our Father. (John 14:6)

  • We believe Communion is a way of symbolically commemorating and reflecting on Jesus' death. We partake in remembrance of Christ’s body that was broken open for us, and his blood which was poured our for us. We join in communion in celebration of Christ’s victory over satan, and the atonement for our sins which was bought for us in full on the cross. (Matthew 26:26-29, Mark 14:22-24, Luke 22:17-20, 1 Corinthians 10:16-17, 11:20-32)

  • We believe that giving is an out-loud, meaningful, and tangible expression of love and commitment. We believe that it is a requirement of all Christ followers as scriptures teaches. We believe that the limit should be established by God and the giver, with the understanding that “it is better to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35) and that giving should always be done joyfully and never reluctantly. (2 Corinthians 9:7, Luke 6:38)
